Well, as suppliers of ladies wholesale shoes we here at Happy Feet Shoes love it when a great story hits the papers or the internet. We have seen a few articles online this week discussing the latest exhibition at The Bowes Museum in county Durham.

Over the years The Bowes Museum has been home to a number of special exhibitions as well as hosting a nationally renowned art collection. Located in the town of Barnard Castle, Teesdale, museum has just announced its upcoming coming summer exhibition, and it’s definitely one for the shoe lovers.

The museum is to stage the ‘Shoes: Pleasure & Pain’ exhibition, which is set to begin on Saturday 11th June. Taking part in the museum’s popular Fashion & Textile Gallery, the exhibition looks at themes of status, seduction, creation and obsession in footwear. The exhibition is said to feature a wide collection of historic and contemporary shoes by a number of big name designers. As if that wasn’t enough, the exhibition will also display a number of shoes from some of our favourite films and television series.

There is much more to footwear than you may think, and the exhibition is also said to look at the complete history of the shoe, going back as far as two thousand years. So maybe it’s time to brush up on your footwear knowledge. It really does sound like a great day out for those of you love everything to do with your favourite accessory. The exhibition runs from the 11th June right through to the 9th October, so make sure that you don’t miss out.
